The ruling Awami League has submitted its annual audit report to the Election Commission.

Party's deputy office secretary Mrinal Kanti Dash and election committee member Riazul Kabir Talukder submitted the audit report to the EC on Sunday for the year 2010.

Mrinal told reporters that the report was scrutinised by audit firm SM Zakaria and Company.

About publication of the report, he said, "The EC can do what it wants."

The commission last week sent letters to 38 registered political parties asking them to submit their annual audit reports.

According to the Representation of the People Order, political parties must submit their audit reports by July 31 for the previous year.
