Rajuk officials in HC to explain building safety measures

The chairman and 51 officials of Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (Rajuk) appeared before the High Court on Thursday to explain their functions in enforcing building safety rules.Rajuk chairman Nurul Huda along with the other officials appeared before the bench of Justice AHM Shamsuddin Chowdhury Manik and Justice Gobinda Chandra Tagore in the morning as per its earlier order.
The bench on August 1 summoned them to explain the building safety rules while hearing a suo moto rule over the deaths of four workers in a lift collapse at an under-construction building, Iris Noorjehan, at the capital's Kakrail on July 21.
