Two cases were filed -- one for smuggling firearms and the other under the arms act -- a day after 10 truckloads of arms and ammunition were seized at a jetty of Chittagong Urea Fertiliser Ltd (CUFL) in the port city on April 2, 2004.

With submission of the supplementary charge sheets, the number of total accused stood at 52 in the case filed for smuggling the firearms and 50 in the other case filed under the arms act.
